The mission of the International Network for Christian Counselling (INCC) is to promote Christian Counselling worldwide.
This will be achieved by partnering with:-
- National and regional Christian Counselling Associations,
- Other organisations that foster Christian Counselling and
- Institutions and Individuals that are able to fund our mission.
and by:-
- Interconnecting, networking, and supporting such counselling associations internationally
- Promoting and facilitating the establishment of national counselling associations in countries where such a need exists
- Supporting individual Christian counsellors (or institutions) in countries where no association yet exists
- Disseminating information, educational resources, and counselling aids worldwide
- Encouraging international interaction of Christian counsellors in their practice and research.
- Working with other organisations (missionary, education, commercial etc.) insofar as such a relationship would benefit and support the primary goals of the IACC
Our Philosophy
The INCC philosophy is based on the principle that we want to bring honour to Jesus Christ in promoting Christian Counselling in every country where possible. Foundational to INCC are the central beliefs of the Christian faith in God, whose triune nature is relationship and community; and who, in the ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, has acted to bring wholeness and healing, now realized in human experience through the presence and work of the Holy Spirit, the giver of life. We aim to promote a general code of ethics for Christian counsellors that can be expanded and adapted for local circumstances We aim to inspire the highest levels of counselling training, supervision, and practice We value unity and diversity among Christian Counsellors worldwide. We are committed to the promotion of respect for all persons, acknowledging that all persons are created equal in the sight of God.
